Our flagship NOBEL Systems have a 93% efficiency rating and are best suited for South African weather climates.

Various Solar Water Geysers

Conventional water geyser products contribute up to 80% of your electricity bills to heat water, which puts a demand on power plants and the National Grid. Eskom utilize fossil fuels like Coal to generate electricity.

Efficient solar water geysers ensure consistent hot water using the sun, therefore far less reliant on electricity, this saves you money on your electricity bills and reduces your carbon footprint which in turn helps the environment.

Solterra – Cape Town will help you calculate your return on investment (ROI) or in simpler terms, the payback which is usually 2 to 4 years depending on your individual requirements.

Installation Types

There are 2 main type of installations:

  • Thermosyphon Installations – (on rooftop)

This is when we install the whole complete system on top of your roof, it is a gravity based installation where the tank is above the thermal collector panel. (This is the most economical install as it does not require a separate pump.)

  • Split-pumped Installations – (inside the roof)

A split pumped installation is when the main tank is installed under the rooftop and the thermal collector panel is installed flush on top of the roof as it needs to be exposed to the sun for heating to occur.

(This solution requires a separate 12 Volt TDC solar pump with PV panel to circulate the water through the thermal collector panels.)

Solar Water Pumps & VSD (variable speed drives)

Solar pumped systems have quickly become reliable and cost effective measures compared to wind-powered making use of solar power for water needs.

Solar pumps are usually used in areas where there is little or no power supply. Depending on the client’s needs, the system can accurately be sized with a simple installation process.

Solar pumps for residential boreholes & pools are available upon request as well as our ability to provide you with advise on most VSD (variable speed drive) options for agricultural solutions.
